It's no surprise I found myself at the center of the most pivotal stories of our time as a correspondent for CBS News. Storytelling is at the heart of everything I do and my mother always tells the story of how I pretended to be a talk show host in our living room as a little girl. My first chapter started as a one man band reporter in Greenville, Mississippi and from there, I criss crossed the U.S. and the world covering major events from the death of Nelson Mandela in South Africa and Barack Obama's run for a second term as President to the resignation of Pope Benedict in Rome. Eventually, California came calling and this award-winning journalist did it all—debates, primaries, NFL coverage, red carpets and hosting an entertainment news and lifestyle show on NBC. It's in California where me, the Jersey girl, found herself captivated by wine and all that it brings —curiosity, patience, great conversation and celebration.
